My name is Taylor Gutierrez, and I am a New York City-based photojournalist from Miami. My love for the arts and photography began when I was a teenager. The second I got behind a camera, I instantly felt inspired to document one of my other passions: dance.

For many years, I had the opportunity to capture movement on stage as well as behind the scenes, honing my skills while I simultaneously trained to be a dancer. From there, I decided to venture into photojournalism and eventually, in writing. While I have a variety in my portfolio up to this point, my trajectory in media all started with photography and so, this site serves as a love-letter to my craft.

 

After college, where I studied digital journalism and media marketing, I moved to New York to pursue a full-time career in a newsroom at a national network. And of course, I love any opportunity to use a camera, even just for fun. My work now reflects my time as a photographer, writer, producer, video editor, and professional journalist. I hope you enjoy it!
